Vincentia Schroeter, PhD
Dr. Vincentia Schroeter has been practicing psychotherapy for over thirty years. She is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (1975), Certified Bioenergetic Therapist (1980), and holds a doctorate in clinical psychology (1999). Dr. Vin provides Bioenergetic Analysis, which looks at the way emotional struggles are manifest in the muscular tension patterns in the body. She is also interested in improving communication skills between couples and between parents and children. Her doctoral research was on early bonding between parents and infants. She provides addiction consultations for those considering rehabilitation.
Membership in professional organizations includes: The Southern California Institute for Bioenergetic Analysis, where she is the Coordinating Trainer of the certification program; The Earliest Relationship Network, a community of therapists devoted to providing mental health services for families with young children; and the San Diego North County chapter of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists.
